The Half Baked office lets you know their “Best of 2015”

2015 for Half Baked was the year our team grew, we had a stage at Secret Garden Party, threw some amazing parties and it was the year we turned six years old. But what does the office crew behind Half Baked think about 2015?

We have put together a few classic “best of” Q&A’s – here’s the answers:

First one is a real classic, best moment of 2015?

Bruno: Packing out the tent for our showcase at Secret Garden Party, amazing!

Ida: The Thursday night with the team at SGP . We were all KIDS again rolling around the grass, singing karaoke, climbing stuff, going on rides and all while constantly laughing!

Sam: The fun we had over the weekend at SGP, despite all the rain and mud we made the best of it and had a great weekend! Finding out I’d got the grades I wanted from university during the Perlonized party at Sonar was pretty amazing too. Or perhaps, Mike Shannon asking me to play with him at the 6th Birthday after party! It’s been a wicked year!

Bibi: Starting to work for Half Baked! 🙂

Worst moment from 2015:

Bruno: Not many bad moments for me, we may come to some hurdles but that’s meant to happen, it’s just the world trying to challenge us!

Ida: The chaos outside Vetro for Return in Barcelona!!

Sam: Trying to get taxis in Barcelona during Off Week! MISSION

Bibi: getting the news we received a faulty piece of equipment when the party had already started!!!

Funniest moment?

Bruno: Cycling round my flower and fairy light covered Half Baked BMX at Secret Garden Party, perfect for getting round the wettest festival of the year hahaha!

Ida: Trying to get a cab in Barcelona after our party, which seemed impossible. Every time we managed to get one to stop Sam would come running with the astronaut hat looking like a complete lunatic and every single driver would drive off! Hahaha makes me laugh thinking of what he looked like.

Sam: Packing the Oyster Card wallets at SGP Thursday evening. Between Ida, Greg, Robin, Bruno and I we had a great little factory line – doesn’t sound too funny. One of those moments where you had to be there haha!

Bibi: Bruno asking Facebook to take down the Half Baked profile page because he thought it was a fake (it was me)

Favourite set?

Bruno: aaaaagh PASS!

Ida: I don’t get to listen too much to the music in the parties as I’m always running around but even if I did I’m sure I’d still have the same favourite set for 2015, Dyed Soundorom sat the bar high in February and that was it

Sam: Super tricky to choose one so i’ll give three. First – Dyed Soundorom – Number 90 in February, he turned the place upside down! Second – Seuil’s set when he played the party with Sammy Dee & Vera at the start of July and third, Robin & Le Loup playing at the birthday afterparty on the boat was pretty special too, nice and intimate and it fit the vibe perfectly!

Bibi: Pior Live

If you could do something different this past year what would it be?

Bruno: Relax a little more and trust my instincts!

Ida: Uuff… ha could be many answers here but I guess to have trusted my instincts will cover most of it.

Sam: Not much, the year has been a big learning curve and both the mistakes and things done well have taught me lots.

Bibi: buy a different phone to take better pictures during parties!

What’s the best thing you’ve learnt in 2015?

Bruno: “Where the focus goes – energy flows – result will show”

Ida: How to stay cool in hectic situations!

Sam: In stressful or tough times, having a good team and people around you is key to getting the job done well.

Bibi: Good teamwork is the most rewarding work!

What are you looking forward to the most with 2016?

Bruno: Smashing it and having a good time!

Ida: London wise – to vary the venues… other than that I’m buzzing about Gottwood!

Sam: Trying to have more fun than this year… tough but I’ll give it a good go!

Bibi: All the festivals!!! GOTTWOOOD!!!

We hope that you all have enjoyed your time with us this past year, it really has been a great one and we can’t thank you all enough! We hope to see as many of you as possible on New Year but if we don’t have a wonderful time and put the 31st January in your diaries – we return![/az_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
